I Became a Bandit Chief During the Resistance War, and Killing Enemies Drops Gear

After the fall of Northeast China, I was Zhao Tiesheng, an honest farmer in occupied territory, too timid to cause trouble and content to keep my head down and survive. One day, I accidentally angered a puppet Manchukuo secret police captain in the street. I was beaten to death in broad daylight, and my body was tossed into a mass grave like a stray dog. On a stormy night, a bolt of lightning jolted me awake. But the one who woke wasn't the original Zhao Tiesheng. It was the soul of a special forces soldier from the modern era.

From that night on, I relied on the Iron-Blooded Merits System to kill enemies and earn points, which I exchanged for weapons, medicine, food, blueprints, and protective gear. Leading a band of brothers who had clawed their way out of piles of corpses, I fought my way from occupied territory to the front lines, went from a cannon-fodder battalion in the Nationalist Army to a Communist base behind enemy lines, then took a few brothers who had faced death with me into the mountains, disguised as bandits while fighting the Japanese in earnest. In the end, we became a mysterious anti-Japanese force that struck terror into the Japanese army.
