A Chance Encounter Amid the Alley's Warm Glow

In the late 1970s, in the narrow lanes of the residential compound for workers at a Suzhou cotton mill, Song Ying, a spirited and no-nonsense woman on the factory floor, meets Lin Yi, a mild-mannered new hire in the technical department. They meet through work, and fall for each other through the little things. Amid the roar of machinery and the daily grind of life, two independent, stubborn young singles slowly grow closer in the gentle breeze of the times, turning ordinary days into the warmest home they could find in each other.
