Her and Her Cat

This is a story about two lonely souls redeeming each other. The stray cat Huang Huang lives in a crack in the wall of the community and makes a living by digging through trash cans. A small piece of his left ear was frozen off and he calls himself the "King of the Garbage Heap." Lin Wan, a woman who lives alone, works overtime until late at night every day and walks home through dark alleys. She is scared but has no one to talk to. They met one night. When a woman was blocked in an alley by a strange man, Huang Huang rushed out and scared the other man away with a sharp scream. From that day on, the two lives began to intersect. The cat didn't understand human language, but when it saw the woman crying and burying her face in her knees; when it saw her fever, it climbed onto the window sill of the air conditioner on the sixth floor and stayed there all night. The woman didn't understand the cat's thoughts, but she began to wait for it in the alley, feed it ham, build a nest for it in the cracks in the wall, and carve her phone number on the collar. They approached each other in the clumsiest way - from a safe distance of "one meter", to a gentle nudge, to jumping on their knees and purring. Slowly, the woman is no longer afraid of walking at night, and the cat changes from a homeless man to a "family member". "This world is sometimes very cold and dark, and it is difficult to walk. But as long as there are people waiting for you at the entrance of the alley and a cat waiting for you on the balcony, you can still go on." Two incomplete lives used the simplest way to piece together the appearance of "home".
