This book tells the epic story of an aircraft designer's destiny spanning three countries and thirty years. The protagonist Andre Reyewski is a Polish mathematical genius and a collateral descendant of the cryptologist Reyewski. In 1982, he entered the Soviet Sukhoi Design Bureau and participated in the design of the Su-27 fighter jet. He dreamed of innovating the avionics system, but because of his Polish origin and exchange experience with the United States, he was framed as a spy. His dream was shattered in the chaos on the eve of the collapse of the empire. After the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991, he came to China by taking the opportunity to receive the Chinese delegation. From contemplating civilization under the red walls of the Forbidden City to working day and night in the Shenyang Aircraft Workshop, he witnessed and participated in the rise of China's aviation industry.
