Is This How You Play God?

For ten thousand years, divine authority has monopolized the continent of Anka.

The world's fundamental law is simple: knowledge is authority, and shared belief is divine power.

The gods feed on faith.

The Harvest God protects the crops, and the Life God cures illness and injury. Mortals can secure a sliver of hope only by paying tribute and swearing allegiance.

Priests have monopolized writing and knowledge. Any attempt to independently investigate the laws of nature is branded heresy. The lives and fates of mortals have always been in the hands of the gods.

…

Lin Yue transmigrates as the lowliest materialist god in the divine realm. With no believers and no divine power, he is on the verge of fading away from the start.

No one believes in his creed? He summons players from another world: young materialists from the modern age!

While other gods use miracles to promise the world and reap faith, he leads his players in building infrastructure, smelting steel, and making cannons, using science to undermine the foundations of divine authority and overthrow ten thousand years of theocracy!

Countless lofty gods watch him help mortals take control of their own fates and fly into a rage: Is this how you're supposed to be a god?!

You have miracles. I have truth.

After all, truth is always within range of a cannon!
