The Storm on Duty

"On Duty" is a coming-of-age novel focusing on the campus life of junior high school students. It takes the ordinary event of "duty" as the starting point and tells a heart-warming story of a group of teenagers with different personalities learning responsibility, trust and unity through friction and collaboration. The story revolves around the duty team of Class 1 (2) of junior high school: Lin Xiaoman, the responsible but slightly impatient class monitor, Zhou Zixuan, the reckless and passionate Zhou Zixuan, Chen Mo, the calm and reserved Chen Mo, Zhang Hao, the outspoken and impulsive, and Wang Qiang, the "undercover" from the next class who has changed from an "opponent" to a teammate. They had conflicts over the division of labor, quarreled over health inspections, and even fell into internal strife due to a crisis of trust. But as the plot progresses, a "trap" set for the "mobile red flag", an unexpected "glorious injury", and an "unexpected turning point" that bridges the gap make this group of teenagers gradually understand that collective honor is not a show off of individual heroism, but the result of teamwork. From the initial mutual suspicion to the final tacit cooperation, they used discarded plastic bottles to create a "green heart" and won the environmental protection competition. Through sweat and tears, they also gained a friendship that is more precious than the trophy.
