Tomorrow Will Be Like Yesterday

"Tomorrow, Like Yesterday" tells the story of love and artistic pursuit spanning ten years. In 1897, Carol, a girl from the Norwegian town of Leitwerk, met the British painter Cyril in Paris. Two souls who love painting met on the banks of the Seine - he held up the sky of art for her, taught her how to capture light and shadow with her eyes and feel colors with her heart. In the spring of Paris, they painted together, shared their dreams, and love quietly blossomed. However, the barriers of reality are difficult to overcome. Carol returns to her closed hometown, and Cyril has to shoulder family responsibilities. At dawn on Mont Saint-Michel, Carol left a dark blue letter and left quietly, living in seclusion in a Paris bakery under the name "Violette", vowing to wait until she was strong enough. Cyril has settled in Reitwalk for seven years, painting the land where she grew up, and traveling to Paris every April to wait for the reunion. The novel depicts the growth and perseverance of two souls in separation with delicate strokes. From the mist and rain in Paris to the aurora in Norway, from the banks of the Seine to the foothills of Mount Quichuur, art and love are intertwined into an eternal picture. Finally, under the setting sun at the Saint-Germain-des-Prés Abbey, they completed their unfinished vows after ten years of waiting: "Love is an eternal picture, will you be my brush and paint it with me?"
