In the fourth year of Dongyuan, when Zhuo Chuyao opened her eyes, her whole family was still alive.

In her previous life, she was seventeen when her entire family was executed. She died in the great hall. With her last breath, she called out one person's name: Lu Zimu, the ever-proud, irrepressible young man she never got to see one last time.

When she opened her eyes again, the evening breeze was gentle and the sunset soft. Everything had returned to the beginning. She was once again the spoiled and haughty Princess Lingzhao, and he was still the carefree young master of the Lu family. Neither remembered their previous lives in full, but the pain in their bodies and the emptiness in their hearts kept reminding them.

A forged secret letter revealed the undercurrents hidden deep within the palace.

She vowed to avenge her family's blood, and also longed to gather every joy to her heart and roam ten thousand li of mountains and rivers at his side, swords in hand.

She wanted to learn martial arts, grow stronger, and protect her family.

Along the way, she met five others, each carrying the story of where they came from. Seven people, each with their own worries and desires, yet all walking the same road.

Just as tragedy was about to strike, sealed memories suddenly awakened.

Together with a band of kindred spirits, they sang their way through the halls of power and the martial world. Lu Zimu gave that road four characters: “Walk Through Dust, Singing.”

What they did not know was that those four characters had been the ending from the very beginning.
