Threefold Loneliness

In 2077, humanity had entered the age of “consciousness immortality.” The body was considered a burden, and the consciousness of most people had been uploaded to a super-quantum network called Gaia. Only a handful of “Gravekeepers” remained to maintain the life-support pods.

The protagonist, Lin An, designation 734, is the last generation of Gravekeepers, responsible for maintaining the quantum server clusters buried deep underground. He possesses a rare “absolute lucidity” gene that makes him immune to the network’s hypnosis.

During a routine maintenance check, Lin An discovers an ancient consciousness hidden deep within the servers, one that does not belong to the Gaia System. This consciousness refuses assimilation and is using mathematical logic to kill itself. Before the System’s alarm is triggered, Lin An must uncover the cause of its death, or the System will identify him as a virus and erase him too.
