Earth's Deceleration Survival Era

On the winter solstice when the earth's rotation speed drops to a critical point, eternal night begins to swallow up all cities north of 35 degrees north latitude. As the chief biologist of the Institute of Extreme Climate Research, I should have warned of disasters in front of the data model, but instead I was trapped in the collapsed laboratory with a high fever. Outside the window, the asphalt road was being decomposed by some kind of crystal-like organisms - later we called them "scavengers", the ultimate cleaners bred by this planet.
