Have You Ever Made a Movie? Then Why Are You Writing About Entertainment?

Hao Ren, a struggling author, transmigrates into the son of a coal magnate and becomes a film directing student at Kyoto University. He binds himself to an entertainment writing System: as long as his novels meet the required metrics, he can perfectly master the works featured in them, understanding not only what they do but how they do it. Can writing novels make him stronger? While others study the fundamentals of filmmaking, he types away. While others search everywhere for internships, he types away. While others discuss and workshop screenplays, he sits right there typing away. The novel keeps flopping, but he becomes famous...

“What the heck is ‘Goodbye Mr. Loser’? I can’t even find that movie.”

“You got the movie wrong, didn’t you? You can’t even write a plagiarized novel properly. Drop it already.”

“What a genius author. He writes entertainment fiction and makes up his own scripts. I’m dying of cringe!”

The city is full of feel-good entertainment novels, so readers think it’s all just a bit of fun. That is, until a few days later, when they see the news online that ‘Goodbye Mr. Loser’ is about to hit theaters...

In an entertainment industry that grows more warped by the day, where every director’s comments section is full of insults, mockery, and complaints about tragic endings, only Hao Ren’s comments section is a haven. There are no worldly desires there, only the pure demand: “Hurry up and make another movie.”
