Chief Councillor, Please Mind Yourself. This Time, I'm the One Who Doesn't Want You

Chen Yan, heir to a distinguished family, was peerlessly handsome and the dream of countless young ladies. Ye Feishuang spent ten years as his mistress, devoting all her love to him without complaint or regret. Then she learned that the affair which had reduced her from a proper wife to a mistress had been orchestrated by Chen Yan himself. He looked down on her for growing up in the countryside and thought her timid and useless. He had never wanted to honor their betrothal in the first place.

When she returned to the age of ten, the first thing Ye Feishuang did was break off the engagement.

Chen Yan was very pleased with his fiancée. She was still young, yet already possessed breathtaking beauty. Though raised in the countryside, she was cultivated and well-mannered. She was skilled in both letters and arms, with ambition and insight to spare. Chen Yan could hardly wait to welcome her home in a grand bridal procession. But then she tossed a letter breaking off their engagement in front of him. “Young Master Chen, let’s call off the wedding. I’m not interested in you.”

After that, Chen Yan was plagued by nightmares. In them, Ye Feishuang, who should have been his wife, became his mistress, locked away in a secluded courtyard for ten years. In them, she truly loved him, yet he never once treated her kindly. In them, she said she never wanted to see him again.

Later, Chen Yan realized these were more than dreams. He hurried to find Ye Feishuang and make things right, only to discover that someone else was already by her side.
