Three Years of a Cold Marriage Couldn’t Warm His Heart. I Asked for a Divorce, So Stop Chasing Me

[Sly, powerful man x clear-eyed little vixen] [Power imbalance + simmering tension + push and pull + love rivals] During their three years of marriage, Lu Zhiyan has always treated her with the cold indifference of a man in power. Wen Sui doesn't mind, because she loves him. But his heart has always belonged to another woman. He even finds a substitute for her, giving that woman Wen Sui's identity so she can enjoy life in her place. Wen Sui can't bring herself to let go. She silently endures it, believing that one day he'll come back to her.

Until their wedding anniversary. She hurries back to the old family home to prepare, but he abandons her to pick up the woman he has always loved, who's just returned from abroad, leaving her to face the elders' relentless criticism alone. Then the substitute shows up in front of her, flaunting a pregnancy test. Wen Sui has finally had enough. If the substitute is pregnant, let her have the baby. If his first love comes back, let her come back. Wen Sui couldn't care less.

She draws up divorce papers. After a work dinner, she gets Lu Zhiyan, who's drunk, to sign them, then eagerly boards a late-night flight back to Hong Kong. She no longer wants anything to do with him. She returns to her career and picks up her hobbies again. In just one year, she goes from being Lu's wife, hidden away and unknown, to a rising star in business, admired by everyone in the industry.

When they meet again, she calmly asks him for the divorce certificate. He says the waiting period isn't over, so he can't get it for her. And the man who once kept his distance has become more and more clingy. He finds out that he signed the divorce papers while he was out of it. On a stormy night, the usually refined and elegant man shows his ruthless side and grips her tightly by the waist. “Suisui, I won't admit to something I never did.”
