You Want Me to Be the Marquis's Daughter? I Rose to Power, So Why Are You Crying?

[Both leads are reborn + switched lives + contrasting fates + seeking only wealth and status] In my previous life, I stayed with the Lin family as a lowly merchant’s daughter and was promised to a poor military family. Who could have guessed that my husband would earn glorious military honors and make me a first-rank noblewoman? Meanwhile, my elder sister was reclaimed by the marquis’s household, married into the Eastern Palace, and became the lofty Crown Princess’s secondary consort. But she resented the Crown Prince for lacking the emperor’s favor and being an unpredictable cripple. She schemed behind his back, and when she was found out, she died horribly. When I opened my eyes, I was reborn, and my sister pressured me to take her identity and be recognized by the marquis’s household! This was… wonderful. After years in business, Lin Jingyue had experienced all the disadvantages of being a merchant’s daughter. She knew that only by holding power could she control her own fate. Her sister wanted to steal the splendid life she had? Take the noblewoman’s path she’d walked in her previous life? Then Lin Jingyue would use her new identity as the marquis’s daughter to plan every step, marry the Crown Prince, seize power, and fight for the position of empress. But why does her husband spend every night in her room? Wasn’t this supposed to be a marriage of mutual convenience?
