I'd Rather Marry a Memorial Tablet Than Be a Concubine: I Call the Shots at the Duke's Estate

[Switched marriages + household drama and face-slapping + contrasting cousins + scumbag men and women getting their comeuppance] My cousin and I became engaged at the same time. She was to marry the Duke's heir, while I was to marry his second son. Two cousins marrying two brothers: a fine match by anyone's standards. Who knew the heir would die in battle, leaving the ducal title to his younger brother? To escape the reputation of bringing bad luck to her husband, my cousin turned to my fiancé instead. On the eve of my wedding, my fiancé told me to volunteer to become his concubine. “Even if being a concubine is a little unfair to you, you should be satisfied to marry into the Duke's family. You're an orphan with no one to rely on. What more could you want? Your cousin is the legitimate daughter of a marquis's house. Don't tell me you want to outrank her and become the principal wife?” Everyone thought I would either swallow my pride or refuse the marriage outright. Instead, I told them all: I want to marry the late young duke. Become a concubine? I might as well be their sister-in-law instead!
