My Factory Connects to the Ancient World, and I Strike It Rich Raising an Emperor for the Ages

[A young emperor and a fallen heiress; connected across past and present; alternate history; farming and infrastructure building.] Ning Jinli had barely graduated from college when her own uncle schemed against her, leaving her to inherit a factory on the verge of bankruptcy and a mountain of debt. Her boyfriend dumped her for a rich woman, too. Just when she was at her most desperate, she discovered that the back door of her warehouse opened into a time more than two thousand years in the past. The legendary emperor, still a handsome young man, appeared before her. Two gold bars and a jade pendant bought him several boxes of biscuits and bottled water! There was her path to wealth, right there. She hooked him up with running water and saved a drought-stricken village, and Xiao Qidi presented her with the priceless Canglan Jade Disc in return. She discovered it was a national treasure that had been lost for a thousand years! She promptly handed it over to the state, and from then on, she had mysterious support at her back. Even the antique dealer who had once cheated her paid her back, admitted his mistake, and volunteered to become her lackey. The bankrupt factory came back to life and went full throttle on production. Xiao Qidi could have as many modern supplies as he wanted. Still not enough? Ning Jinli expanded into heavy industry! She charged ahead on the road to riches, while he galloped toward unifying the realm, each helping the other soar. She crushed her crooked relatives, her gold-digging ex, and everyone else who crossed her. Weirdos, stay away! The modern state had her back, and the founding emperor of the ancient world was her... After Xiao Qidi founded a unified empire, he asked, “What am I to you, exactly?” Ning Jinli spread a map of the world before him. “Little brother, there’s a much bigger world out there.” Xiao Qidi understood. “Got it. I’ll conquer it all and offer it to you as my betrothal gift!”
