He Pulled Her Oxygen Tube on the Operating Table, Then Regretted It

He is the most distinguished man in Haicheng, cold and abstinent, rich enough to rival a nation, and the object of countless women’s desire. She is an ordinary orphan from a small town, until one day her identity changes and she becomes his wife. On their wedding night, he makes her a promise. “I’ll fulfill my duties as a husband. But some things don’t belong to you, so don’t force the issue.” He keeps his word, giving her a life of luxury and satisfying her in bed, then turns around and takes his old flame by the hand, gazing at her with tender affection. Unable to accept it, his wife thinks a child might win his heart. Instead, he believes his first love’s lies and sends her to the operating table. She dies, taking their unborn child with her, and he regrets it, kneeling at her grave in repentance every day. Five years later, she returns with a pair of genius babies, determined to repay a debt of gratitude, get revenge, and divorce him. The older child says, “Mommy, leave your benefactor to me. I’ll make sure he gets better!” The younger child says, “Mommy, leave your enemy to me. I’ll make sure he’s dead!” The two children say together, “Mommy, that man’s back again. We’ve got the keyboard and durian ready!” The man kneels before her and begs, “Honey, as long as you don’t divorce me, I’ll be your ox, your horse, your servant. I’ll wait on you for the rest of my life!”
