From the Start, She Was to Be Buried Alive? The Consort Drags the Prince into a Palace Coup

A modern woman with a doctorate in medicine transmigrates to ancient times for no apparent reason. The moment she opens her eyes, she has become Shang Shuwan, the foolish, timid legitimate daughter of the Duke of Shang's household, destined to be buried alive as a sacrifice for Prince Gong. From now on, she decides, her life is hers to control. She pretends to be foolish to reclaim her dowry, then exposes the white lotus for what she really is. But on her wedding day, she's expected to bow to a rooster. That's the last straw: she rolls up her sleeves, cooks the chicken, and feeds it to the pigs. Hoping to leave the prince's residence and live freely, she practices medicine by day to earn money and prepares medicine for the prince by night. When she's finally gathered all the ingredients she needs to leave, she discovers that the patient she treated during the day was the prince himself. Without another word, she hands him divorce papers.
