The Day Her Kingdom Fell, the Princess Emptied the Entire Capital

She was the eldest legitimate princess, born to the empress, yet she was abandoned in the Cold Palace to fend for herself. On the day the kingdom fell, the emperor fled in a panic. Not only did he refuse to take his own daughter with him, he also listened to his wicked consort’s lies and ordered her strangled. Shen Hua snapped the rope and boldly declared, “With my space at my disposal, I’ll clear out the entire capital.” The emperor and wicked consort’s private treasuries, the national treasury, the grain stores, the armory... “Mine! Mine! It’s all mine!” On the run, the emperor and his consort, whose private treasury had been emptied, went hungry and cold, living miserable lives. Shen Hua burped with satisfaction. “That braised pork at lunch was delicious. Let’s have hot pot tonight!” The mad war god and her loyal sidekick: “Your Highness, we’ll do as you say.” Shen Hua ate and drank to her heart’s content, claimed a mountain as her stronghold, and threw herself into building it up. Before she knew it, she had fought her way back to the capital. The court officials all said, “The princess may be noble, but she is still a woman. How can she ascend the throne?” The mad war god and her loyal sidekick, commanding an army of two hundred thousand, drew his blood-dripping broadsword. “I’ll give you another chance to choose your words.” The court officials: “...” Shen Hua then produced the imperial jade seal she had taken from that dog emperor. “I have received Heaven’s mandate!”
