[A hodgepodge world + chat-style commentary + horror and the supernatural + tests of human nature + the leads pretend to get along while trying to kill each other at first] As the heir to a Taoist temple, Ming Tong has a master to support and the village’s big yellow dog to care for. Desperate to make ends meet, she forces her sickly self to join a horror game called “Wonderland.” From then on, the monsters and demons who once ran rampant in the game’s instances undergo a sudden change in character. At first, they’re bent on killing Ming Tong. Later, they’re desperate to recruit her as a colleague. Even the System tries every trick to kick her out. After all, even ghosts dread a player who blows up the whole place at the slightest disagreement. As for Ming Tong, she never turns back from her path of proving that “we were never meant to meet; you just have to pay me.”
