A Joyful Coffin Opening, and the Short-Lived Prince Haunts Her Every Night

Luo Xi, the young sect leader and mystic doctor of the apocalypse, wakes up as a village girl unloved by both her parents. After being driven to her death, she's even supposed to be married off to a dead man. She's been handed the textbook cannon-fodder role. Give in? Not a chance! So eager to get married? Then why don't you do it yourself, big sis? Love beating people up? I'll give you all the beating you can handle! She takes on the family of four, only for her birth parents to show up and reveal that she's the real heiress who was lost long ago. She thinks returning to the Minister's residence will mean a happy life as everyone's darling, but it turns out the whole family is devoted to the fake heiress. She doesn't need that kind of family, so she rolls up her sleeves and builds a career: catching demons, reading fortunes, assessing feng shui, and saving people, demons, and princes alike. A young master asks, “Heavenly Master! Can you tell me whether I'll pass the imperial exam and become the top scholar this year?” Luo Xi replies, “Young master, that depends on whether smoke is rising from your family's ancestral grave.” A prince asks, “Everyone says I don't have long to live. Can I still be saved?” Luo Xi answers, “You can! You just need a marriage to bring you good fortune!” The prince calls out, “Guards! Take her away!” Luo Xi protests, “You said you'd only hire my skills, not take me as your bride. Why are you clinging to me?” The prince gives a rakish smile. “I'll marry into your family!” [The heroine is career-driven. She focuses on ghost-catching and face-slapping early on, then the romance gets sweeter and sweeter.]
