I Opened a Shop in Another World and Raised Five Gods

[My take on running a shop / obsessive, darkened characters finding redemption / multiple planes / some ensemble cast] Qiu Zhizhi inherits a hotel that spans multiple planes, courtesy of a bonus prize for clearing the Infinite World. Honestly, if she could take back what she said, she would never have wished to open a shop and enjoy a quiet retirement. A retired big shot from the Infinite World, Qiu Zhizhi is moved to tears. Wasn’t retirement supposed to mean carefree happiness, with all the food and drink she could want?! Luckily, the System doesn’t force her to complete tasks, so she can take things easy in peace. But Qiu Zhizhi had only wanted to run a shop and coast through life. Why is everything starting to feel so wrong? Wasn’t this supposed to be a hotel? Why are all her guests pitiful souls with broken legs, severed arms, blindness, or deafness? Sure, they’re handsome, but that won’t put food on the table!

“…” Qiu Zhizhi accepts the pitiful guests with a blank expression. If they can’t cover the deposit, they can pay with their labor!

Later, she learns that these pitiful souls will all become villains who stir up bloodshed in the future, and once again falls into deep thought. Number One, a red-eyed zombie, is pretending to be pitiful. Number Two, a spirit form, does nothing but read. Number Three, all fluffy, is catching fish in the fountain. Number Four, a little fish, is dragging its tail along the floor. Number Five is a mass of black mist… She stares strangely at the little ones, at a loss for words. These are the villains who will destroy the world?

In truth, the first worker is the Zombie King who will destroy the world; the second is a sea god who lures people into suicide; the third, a consciousness, will set human civilization back two thousand years; the fourth, a Beast God, watches coldly as its people die; the fifth is an evil god… Each of them will deal the world an extinction-level blow. And now, they all curl up peacefully in the place closest to the gods.

**There are no gods in this world. Yet, in their darkest hour, they found their own glimmer of light. They bowed before that light, and became gods themselves.
