Tycoon's Son, Get on Your Knees. Mom Needs a Favor

[Lighthearted comedy + food + subverting expectations] At twenty-six, Song Wanyue has never even held a man's hand. Then she transmigrates into a book and suddenly finds herself surrounded by children and grandchildren. Before transmigrating, when the water-meter reader knocked, she would call out, “Could you come back later? My mom isn't home.” After transmigrating, she advises her little granddaughter, “If anyone at kindergarten bullies you, hit them with a hammer.” “But they're girls!” Song Wanyue says, struggling to come up with an answer as she cooks. “Then I'll paint the hammer pink and tie a bow on it?” Her stepson jumps up in fury. “I knew you were obsessed with your brother and greedy for money and men!” But after Song Wanyue beats up her awful relatives, gets back the inheritance they swindled away, and makes him a bowl of wontons, her stepson instantly turns into a clingy little puppy. “Mom, you're amazing! By the way, could you work on that thing about being so into men?” The food blogger's struggle to raise kids is exhausting: she has to cook and win over her boss, too. The fussy Mr. Xie leans in. “I'll give you a chance to cook for me. Aren't you touched, woman?” Song Wanyue sneers. “I'll give you a chance to rephrase that, man!” Mr. Xie drops to his knees in an instant. “I'm hungry, darling.”
