A Life of Lying Flat Is So Tempting

Jiang Yueyue opened her eyes to find herself in a drafty, dilapidated shack. It took her a long while to regain her bearings. She had transmigrated into the body of a country girl who had fallen into a pond and drowned. The girl had the same name as her: Jiang Yueyue. No! Heaven had treated her so unfairly. She was only twenty-one, fresh out of college, with two houses back home and no worries about food or clothes. She and her siblings had already figured out their paths and settled on a direction, ready to lie flat together. Then she went and choked to death on a bottle of beer. No way. Even if she had to fight for her life, she was going to get back to the life of lying flat. And who was that man who always went against her? Just because he was handsome, he thought he could stop her from realizing her dream?

The man said, “In our village, earning money is the men’s job. You just need to lie flat.”
