The Princess Consort Makes Money, Not a Play for Favor

On the night she transmigrated into the body of an unloved princess consort, he took a secondary consort, and she had a fling with a stranger. Did that make them even? Fighting for his favor? Not a chance. As his princess consort, she had to be virtuous and magnanimous, and fix her old habits of jealousy and cruelty. She proactively helped her husband find beauties and sent them to his bed. She taught the other women how to dress and put on makeup to win their husband's affection, even writing a book called The Guide to Winning His Favor. The household was harmonious, and the women were like sisters. Her virtue was beyond reproach. Surely her husband would be satisfied now that she was being so virtuous! But that scoundrel turned out to be utterly unreasonable: not only did he reprimand her, he even confiscated her monthly allowance. Money was her lifeline, her bottom line. She had to sell him to pay off her debts. And so she became the first empress in history to sell the emperor. Check out my new novel, When Being a Beloved Empress Is Hard Work.
