The Empress's Teacher

Gu Qingyun wakes with broken, incomplete memories and finds herself a palace maid. Xia Tianqi, a fallen prince, meets Gu Qingyun, the one and only salvation fate has granted him. When they are parted, each sets out on the path destiny has chosen for them.

Gu Qingyun: “Your Highness, the road through the martial world is long. Let us each take care.”

Xia Tianqi: “If I live, I’ll avenge you. If I die, I’ll take your memorial tablet with me and sleep beside it forever.”

Her heart holds the duties and loyalties of her past life, along with the love and hatred of this one. His heart holds only her.

This is not a palace-intrigue story, and there is little romance; it is not sweet enough for some readers. Please bear that in mind before reading. My completed novel, “Though She Was Laden with Gold,” features farming, business, and the imperial examinations. Readers are welcome to check it out.
