Memories can become demons, and heartbreak can take shape. Memory is the final battlefield, and she is its only mender. Su Yunzhi runs a shop called Memory Mending Studio in a shabby Kyoto alley. On the surface, she restores antiques. In truth, she offers a far more secretive service: mending people's memories. She can see the “memory spirits” formed deep in people's hearts from pain, obsession, and regret. An unsent confession becomes a barren branch that will never bloom; decades of guilt become a lonely city doomed to collapse in an endless loop. Using her heart as a shuttle, she ventures into bizarre “mindscapes” to seek a path to freedom for souls trapped by their memories.
