I Asked You to Ruin the Online Game, So Why Is It Taking the World by Storm?

[I'm so unlucky, really...]

My name is Shen Yan, and I'm a game designer.

One day, I transmigrated to a parallel world where online games were all the rage. Somehow, with no experience, connections, or qualifications, I landed a job as the creative director at a game company.

But there's just one problem:

I'm an indie game designer!

[I'm so stupid, really...]

My name is Qu Weiwei, a total slacker who's awakened a loss-compensation System.

With the System at my side, I invested my entire fortune in developing a Chinese-style online game. I planned to hire a fresh graduate with no experience, connections, or qualifications as creative director, run the company into the ground, and lose my way to becoming the richest person alive.

But there's just one problem:

There's something off about this fresh graduate!

When a veteran game designer takes over an online game company, the times seem to take a strange turn:

“What do you mean, ‘Top-Quality Flying Steed’ is all the rage and has sparked a new wave of Chinese-style racing?”

“What do you mean, ‘Sword's Second Passing’ has won countless fans, with players hammering away all night?”

“What do you mean, ‘Nine Provinces: Last One Standing’ has swept across Asia and set a new standard for online game events?”

“What do you mean, ‘Cursed Puppet Crisis’ has shocked the world, and we've become the global gaming hegemon?”

Qu Weiwei was furious. “I told you to run our online game into the ground! How did you make it a worldwide sensation?”

Shen Yan was even more furious. “What choice did I have? To keep my job, I had to make indie games inside an online game!”
