"Tears at the Dinner Table" is a realistic short story focusing on the plight of contemporary Chinese families. The story unfolds from the perspective of college student Wang Yang, telling the whole process of an ordinary family suddenly collapsing when his mother fell into an online scam. My mother was deceived by a scammer named "Ruffian", who not only defrauded her family of their savings, but was also detained for legal issues.
