Reborn as the Beloved Empress

1. Synopsis:

① Beginning: The eighteen-year-old heroine, Su Xueyi, catches Yun Yang, her fiancé and the second male lead, having an affair with her half-sister Su Zixi, the second female lead. Instead of receiving any sympathy, she is scolded. With no one to confide in, she drinks away her sorrows on her wedding night. The wind knocks over a candle stand, and she dies. Unexpectedly, she is reborn on the eve of her engagement at fourteen.

② Development: Su Xueyi never expected to have a chance at rebirth. Although she isn't engaged to Yun Yang yet, the thought of her fate leaves her utterly hopeless. Then Yun Qing appears, gradually thawing her heart. At that time, Yun Qing and Yun Yang are competing for the position of Crown Prince. Su Xueyi has no desire to get involved, but for Yun Qing's sake, she uses what she remembers from her previous life to offer him a little guidance, and he benefits greatly. Their relationship rapidly deepens.

③ Turning point: Su Xueyi is ambushed by Bai Yaoyao, a princess of the Tianfeng Dynasty, who is plotting against her. Bai sets a trap that leaves Su Xueyi in dire straits, but against all odds, the disaster proves a blessing. Su Xueyi masters peerless martial arts and, with her great compassion, becomes the leader of the Defending Nation Alliance. She also embarks on a years-long journey across the desert with the male lead, Yun Qing.

④ Climax: The Yongxia Empire is invaded by foreign tribes, and its emperor dies. Yun Yang defects to the enemy and is installed as a puppet emperor on the empire's frontier. The Yongxia Empire teeters on the brink of collapse.

Yun Qing and Su Xueyi defeat their enemies on all fronts, save the realm, unite the Five Provinces, and establish the Great Xia Heavenly Dynasty.
