The Moon Back Then

The moon was once bright back then

During busy farming seasons, we worked from sunrise to sunset

When things were quiet, we sat together after dinner and chatted for hours

Children didn’t have endless homework either

There was no anxiety, no exhausting inner turmoil,

just days that were simple and slow
