Toward the Southern Wind, Warming the Northern Snow

That year, morning sunlight glinted off Ding Yuwei's nurse's cap when she met Shangguan Chen, the man who would stay in her heart forever after just one glance.

She never imagined that when she finally put on the white uniform of a head nurse, the last patient assigned to her would be the man who had vanished years ago.

“I don't love you anymore.” Back then, he had left without looking back, leaving her to emerge from the fires of love and hate as a better version of herself.

When they reunited in a hospital room where his life was counting down, he finally told her the truth: “I would rather have you hate me for the rest of your life than hold you back from a brilliant future.”

“If love is an illness, then I'd rather bear all the pain of chemotherapy alone.”

But he didn't know that someone had seen it all and felt every bit of her pain.

Lu Hao, their classmate, had quietly protected Ding Yuwei throughout her youth. Now, as the man's attending physician, he watched this farewell in the name of love unfold before his eyes.

“Some people would rather have you hate them for a lifetime than see you cry for them even once.”

As the baton of life passed quietly from one person to another, and the southern wind once again warmed the northern snow, this time he would not let her slip away.

“You protect the world, and I'll protect you. This is a love story shared by three people, and one person's promise to stay until the end of time.”

A relay of love that crosses the boundary between life and death, and a promise of protection that will bring you to tears.

A moving medical setting grounded in reality, and a heartfelt portrait of a doctor's compassion.

Turning southward, the warm wind melts the northern snow. Even when life has an end, love will find a way to carry on.
