Whispers of the Wind

A story of female supremacy in a world where men are held above women. Xiao Zilian and the Empress share a tender, heroic, and poetic love: Can this love only be recalled now? At the time, all that remained was bewilderment. Grain Rain marks the end of the flower-belief winds. First come the peonies, then the thunbergia, and finally the chinaberry blossoms. By Grain Rain, spring is already drawing to a close. The flowers bloom in sequence from plum blossoms to chinaberry blossoms, completing the twenty-four flower-belief winds. Empress Hulanxi deeply loves Xiao Zilian of Zhaolin, but she does not know that this love is fraught with danger at every turn. Life is so difficult, so painful. Will Zilian be able to join hands with the Empress and behold a world at peace?
