Marrying the General

[Wily, clever young lady x decisive, fiercely loyal great general] [Play the pig to eat the tiger + win your wife back the hard way + rivals in love = a pair of small-minded, revenge-loving spouses] When she was seven, Yu Wantang lost her sight while saving her childhood friend. Little did she know that he was actually a royal heir who had been raised among commoners. She went from being a county magistrate’s daughter to the daughter of a capital official, then became an orphan. Her childhood friend brought her to Prince Ning’s residence, where they were to marry one day. She waited and waited, only for a schemer to plot against her and her childhood friend to marry a noblewoman instead. The plot failed, and Yu Wantang discovered that she was not only no longer blind, but had gained a special ability. She could see when and how someone was going to die. Sometimes, she could even see the major events that would happen to the person across from her over the next ten days. There was only one person she couldn’t see through. She decided to use the seemingly simple-minded, brawny general Yan Liyou, and take the opportunity to leave Prince Ning’s residence. The times were troubled, and the people suffered. She cleared her father’s name, fought corrupt officials, and killed traitors. Using Yan Liyou’s help, she kept everyone with ulterior motives in a state of turmoil. When her childhood friend gave up the throne and begged her to return to his side, she grabbed Yan Liyou’s hand and slapped him hard. Yan Liyou was a young general and a heaven-born talent. Ever since seeing that blind girl at Prince Ning’s residence, he had been perfectly willing to do her bidding. He asked for no repayment from Yu Wantang, but when he became embroiled in court disputes, she was the only one who shielded him from open and hidden attacks, letting him ride across the battlefield without a care. A friend poked him in the forehead. “Yan Liyou, you’ve fallen for her beauty trap!” Yan Liyou grinned. “My wife really is beautiful.”
