Help! The Movie Star's Psychic Fiancée Can Really Catch Ghosts

As the global economy on Blue Star slumped, people’s living standards plummeted, and even the underworld’s income took a hit. The ghost officers had gone unpaid for months, barely scraping by. Ye Hanxing and her master, civil servants stationed in the mortal world, hadn’t received their travel expenses in months either. To survive, Ye Hanxing took a private job. Her client was an actor who had lost his soul. She thought it would be the usual business of finding a missing soul, but after losing it, his fate had grown so weak that protecting him earned Ye Hanxing a weakling, a short-lived ghost, and a fiancé who was also a movie star. Li Jingchen was at a loss. He had no idea how he had suddenly developed the ability to “see ghosts.” The people around him either thought he was making a big show of pretending to be a medium or found him some unreliable charlatan to perform a ridiculous ritual. The most foolish and infuriating of them all was that fraud Ye Hanxing! She had just met him and was already planning to parade around pretending to be his fiancée so she could swindle people. What a joke. Didn’t he know whether or not he had a fiancée? One second, Li Jingchen was calling Ye Hanxing a fraud. The next, he saw the little ghost she was holding by the hand and immediately changed his tune. “Master Ye, help!” In the comments during the variety show’s livestream, people watched for fun while making fun of Li Jingchen and Ye Hanxing. “One pretends to be a medium, the other pretends to be a fraud doing ridiculous rituals. They’re perfect for each other!” But then, through Ye Hanxing’s control of the camera, they saw her smiling and waving to a little ghost pulling faces behind a female guest. Then she ruthlessly kicked a water ghost clinging to Li Jingchen’s ankle back into the river, before “gently” guiding the spirits stranded in the mortal world to the underworld. All the viewers could do was exclaim, “She really can catch ghosts!”
