A Swap Marriage in the Seventies: Advancing the Nation Through Research

The quick transmigration world’s champion of giving up and doing nothing, she was preparing to retire in the twentieth century when she unexpectedly transmigrated into a sweet romance novel set in the 1970s. With a domineering father who only picks on his own family, a biased mother, a cousin who gets the sweet romance heroine’s script, and a bride who drinks pesticide on her wedding day, things could hardly have started worse. Xia Haitang says the ten billion she’d saved for retirement have been exchanged for supermarket supplies. She’s already agreed with the husband she was married off to that she’ll leave once private trade is allowed. Who could have guessed that after trade opened up, when Xia Haitang said she wanted to go out and take a look, the man would scoop her straight into his arms? “Wife, I’m already yours. You can’t just dump me and leave. If you’re going, take me with you.” Xia Haitang says she can’t believe she let this rugged man’s feigned hurt fool her, after seeing him bend an iron bar to threaten his rival and warn him to stay away from her, saying that even if she died, she could only be buried beside him.
