Meeting in the Wind

Amidst the chirping of cicadas in the summer, an unexpected basketball collision made me meet Jiang Yi among the bookshelves in the library. He helped me pick up the pendants I dropped and remembered the poems I wrote casually. He became the most fixed figure in my working time. From discussing the stories in the pages of the book, to sharing the details of childhood, the evening breeze quietly warmed the distance; from side by side in the A-big summer camp, to the soft promises by the campfire, the starlight gradually illuminated the heart. In the pile of test papers for the third year of high school, we were silent support for each other; beside the countdown numbers, there was the expectation of running together. When the admission notice arrived at the same time, and when we walked hand in hand into the sunshine of the university campus, we realized that this journey from the first chirping of cicadas to the warm sunshine on the long street turned out to be the gentlest answer in youth - it turned out that the best encounter was from "me" to "us", spending the whole summer heading towards the same future.
