In the early summer of 1949, in order to avoid disaster and make a living, 18-year-old Chen Wangshan boarded the "red-headed boat" with silver coins given by his sister. He looked back at his distant homeland, feeling sad about separation but also full of longing for the legendary "Golden Mountain" (Nanyang). Using Wangshan's personal history of struggle as a mirror, it reflects the changes of the times; with warm brushstrokes, he writes the legend of the Hakka people's "going to Nanyang" and conveys the life wisdom of "this place of peace is my hometown".
