Amu Darya Has Never Been Heard

For sixteen years, two misaligned trains only honked their horns on parallel tracks. Guan Jin is a sociologist traveling around the world, and Guan Ning is a drummer struggling at the bottom of the city. They are brothers connected by blood, but since they were young, they have become strangers on opposite sides of the continent until a dramatic reunion in a foreign country, a tragic ending that has already been written. When Guan Jin carries a clay pot containing one-half of his brother's ashes and embarks on the final journey to fulfill his contract, he must use his brother's remaining letters, lyrics and memories to piece together the close and distant brother he has never truly understood, and finally understand the violent life they chose together.
