Thoughts in the Fragrance of Orange

In late autumn, my mother bought a bag of poor-looking oranges from the market, which caused "me", my sister, and my father to complain. Mom mentioned that the old woman selling oranges looked like grandma, which made everyone fall into memories. My grandmother once planted orange trees in the yard. She picked oranges in late autumn, dried the orange peels, soaked them in water, and boiled orange jam. She cared for her family with simple love. That year "I" had a bad cold, and my grandma watched over me all night long. She always left good things to her children and endured the hardship silently. My grandmother passed away due to a heart disease more than a year ago. Her orange tree was left unattended and the oranges rotted on the ground. Today, "we" taste the oranges bought by our mother. Although they are slightly sour at first, they have a faint sweet aroma, just like grandma's love. The family sat around eating oranges, telling stories about grandma's past, feeling the warmth of family affection in the scent of oranges, and understanding that grandma's love and longing will always be with them and become precious memories in life.
