Rongcheng Glory: The Dragons and Sharks Rise

Zhang Menghui was once the brightest name in Chinese football. A graduate of Genbao Football Academy, he rose to fame with Shanghai Port, reached his peak in Paris, became Ligue 1's top assist provider and a two-time Asian Footballer of the Year, and started in a Champions League final. European media called him “Asia's beacon.” But a malicious foul on a rainy night shattered his right knee and derailed the brilliant career he should have had. After Paris, he played for Schalke 04 and in Morocco, before retiring at Porto. The day he returned to Fuzhou, Zhang Menghui finally understood: he might never play again, but football was not over. And so, Fuzhou Dragon Sharks was born. A youth academy with no tuition, paid contracts from day one, and guaranteed education, medical care, rehabilitation, and employment; a three-city network linking Fuzhou, Tokyo, and Nice; AI sports combined with traditional football; and the Dragon Sharks Global Cup, set to ignite the whole city. He refuses to believe China has no footballing talent. His goal is not to buy a championship trophy, but to light a path. So that the children no one ever noticed can finally step onto the pitch and prove to the world: Chinese football can have its own edge, too.
