Lou Guanyao

"The Ballad of Louguan" is a long prose poem written by Cang Yingxiaozhu. It takes Louguantai at the foot of Zhongnan Mountain in Shaanxi as the background. It integrates historical legends and humanistic customs, and depicts a poetic picture that spans thousands of years. Through images such as the autumn sun on the Tianyu River, the pulpit under ancient cypresses, and the incense in Zhao Gongming's hometown, the work connects historical fragments such as Laozi's "Tao Te Ching", Bai Juyi's "Song of Everlasting Sorrow", and the camel caravans on the ancient trade route, showing the unique charm of Louguantai as a Taoist holy land and a place where humanities meet. The poem delicately depicts local life scenes: the fisherman counting ginkgo leaves, the neighbors praying for abundance and leisure, the anecdotes of the caravan spread in the teahouse, and the interweaving of the bells of Xianyou Temple and the poem "Song of Everlasting Sorrow". The author uses "Trickling Valley Water" as a clue to integrate Laozi's wisdom, business travel memories, lingering poetry and the fireworks life of contemporary neighborhoods, and finally condenses it into the artistic conception of "the breeze and the moon are leisurely", which is a metaphor for the endless life of cultural blood. The full text is built with magnificent language and dense imagery. It has the heaviness of "The Green Ox once contained five thousand words" and the agility of "Half a Persian rug became a temple flag". Perhaps it can become a Qinling humanistic poem that flows through time.
