You Took My Sword Bone, So Why Come Begging When the Family's in Trouble?

[Strong female lead, cultivation prodigy, fast-paced growth] Yun Zhao is the legitimate daughter of the Yun family, yet she is neglected because she has no talent for cultivation. Her father and the entire family favor Yun Nian, a concubine-born daughter with a single spirit root. At sixteen, Yun Zhao awakens a sword bone, a gift unseen for millennia. She thinks this will finally earn her the family's respect, but the family elders unanimously decide to carve out her sword bone for Yun Nian to use. Yun Zhao's heart turns to ice. The once-innocent, naive girl is effectively "killed" by her family. She leaves the Yun family and joins the Yufeng Sect, only to find herself trapped in another quagmire. The sect's disciples are ordered to bully her day after day. One of them accidentally beats her to death. Yun Zhao's soul descends to the Netherworld, and no one knows what bargain she struck with its ruler. Carrying a boundless grudge, Yun Zhao claws her way out of the Netherworld, reborn from the ground up. She swears to kill everyone who ever tormented her. Years later, members of her family come one after another, begging for her forgiveness. Yun Zhao sneers. "You don't regret what you did. You're just afraid I'll kill you." "So what if the family is in trouble? I'll help, sure. Just give me back the sword bone you took from me, the same way you took it!" My name is Yun Nian, and I'm the Yun family's concubine-born daughter. My mother told me that Yun Zhao and her mother had used despicable means to steal her rightful place as the principal wife. To avenge my mother's bitter grievance, I took Yun Zhao's sword bone and used every trick I could to make her suffer a fate worse than death. So why was I still no match for her in the end? I refuse to accept this!
