Walking with Shadows

This is an essay-style autobiography. There are no earth-shattering plots. Most of them are fragments of competing with oneself, reconciling, and slowly understanding oneself: for example, one sleepless night, sitting on the balcony watching the shadows being lengthened by the moonlight, and suddenly figured out something that I had been struggling with for a long time; for example, walking in a crowd, the rhythm of the footsteps and the shadows are inexplicably in sync, and I discovered that "solitude" and "liveliness" can coexist. The shadow is the most loyal companion. It does not speak, but it records all the unsaid words: about letting go of fame and fortune, about the details of living seriously, and about the process of slowly learning to get along well with yourself over time. Just like every brick you step on while walking, you don't need to remember it deliberately, but it actually paved the way forward.
