The Seventh Leaf Falls

"The Seventh Falling Leaves" tells the story of 28-year-old Lin Yan who is trapped in a strange cycle: every late autumn, when the ancient sycamore tree in the courtyard drops its seventh leaf, her memory will go back to the rainy day three years ago when her sister Lin Mo died in a car accident. At first she thought it was a hallucination, until the cycles overlapped repeatedly, and the horror gradually became apparent - the wet and cold hair entangled in the veins of the leaves, the fine bone fragments in the cracks of the tree roots, and the chewing sounds coming from the tree hole in the middle of the night, all pointed to the unspoken farewell. As the number of cycles increased, my sister's relics began to appear in the house: red rain boots stained with glass from the car accident, a rubber bear with its eyes gouged out, and dead leaves with tooth marks.
