Smell of the Heart

Perfumer Su Wantang, who has lost his sense of smell, hides in the "Shi Xiang" cafe on the corner of Jiangcheng, using a paintbrush to "paint" the fragrance in his memory, trying to make up for the loss of his parents and sense of smell in a car accident. Cardiac surgeon Gu Chengyan saved countless lives on the operating table, but he could never save his sister who died of illness. He walked into the cafe with the smell of disinfectant, and was caught by the magnolia in her painting - but she couldn't even smell the fragrance of ink when she turned the book. A missing magnolia petal connects the trajectories of two "missing persons". He gave her the possibility to re-perceive smells, and she painted for him her sister's favorite jasmine fragrance; he touched the temperature of life in her paintings, and she understood the weight of "living" under his operating light. When the fragrance of coffee finally filled her nose, and when the Jasmine Notes no longer stung his heart - they understood that healing is never about filling gaps, but about using each other's "deficiencies" to form a complete spring.
