Lin Yanzhou, a young wood carver, saw the intangible cultural heritage skills in his hometown declining day by day, so he decided to go to Singapore with his ancestral tools. In a foreign country, he encountered cultural barriers, survival pressure and cold reception from the market. From showing off "useless" slow work in the live broadcast of Doushu, to setting up a stall in the market to face doubts, he gradually opened up market gaps with his ingenious skills and perseverance. A custom-made dragon and phoenix order for an Indian customer became a touchstone of his skills and cross-cultural understanding. From the minor live broadcast controversy to the counterfeiting infringement, he founded a small workshop "Inkstone Shop" in Chinatown with the help of Chinese professors, Malay stall owners and other partners, and accepted his first apprentice. He integrated traditional wood carving into modern design and held intangible cultural heritage experience classes, and the brand began to take shape. It also laid the foundation for the subsequent establishment of the "intangible cultural heritage empire" and the academy.
