I was born in Guide, and have always loved the comforts of life.

Whenever I read letters from distant lands, I dream at night of ocean pavilions.

I have often longed to follow in the footsteps of those who came before, yet hardship has kept me stranded here.

Then suddenly a thought came to me: what can be done with such vastness?

Mist gathers over the waves, and the setting sun fills the cliffs and ravines.

Cloud-wreathed mountains lie before my eyes, but poetry and wine have no companions to share them with.

I raise my brush, yet struggle to say much; I smile at how pale the ink appears.

How many years can a life hold? Let the past flow on with the long river.
