Once they turn eighteen, they even have a chance to awaken a kekkei genkai through a prayer ritual! At the prayer and awakening ceremony, broadcast live across the internet, Zhang Yu must choose! One: [S-Rank Kekkei Genkai: Wood Release] Two: [S-Rank Kekkei Genkai: Lava Release] Three: [Unknown: Ryujin Jakka] While every viewer debates which S-rank kekkei genkai he should pick, Zhang Yu chooses without hesitation the battered-looking katana, causing an uproar across the internet! It turns out that in this era, only talentless ninjutsu failures specialize in swordsmanship and become downtrodden samurai left behind by the times. "Is he crazy? He's passing up two S-rank kekkei genkai for a katana with no rating?" "Doesn't he know how much a kekkei genkai can improve a person?" "Haha, look! His homeroom teacher just passed out!" Facing a barrage of jeers, Zhang Yu calmly leaves and heads straight into the highest-difficulty beginner secret realm. Surrounded by countless monsters, he recites the words of release. "All creation beneath the heavens shall turn to ash: Ryujin Jakka!"
