The Fallen Leaf Observer's Handbook

A young man meets Lu Mingyuan, who has a terminal illness, in a park. Through their daily conversations on a park bench, he gradually comes to understand the nature of life and death. Drawing spiritual strength from Camus's The Myth of Sisyphus, Lu Mingyuan spends his final days recording traces of tiny lives, from fallen leaves to birds and insects, in his notebook. His ordinary observations become a poetic act of resistance against existence itself. After his death, the journals and philosophical reflections he leaves behind completely change the narrator's way of seeing the world.
